Vintage 2023 : Our bottles get a second life!

As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices, Domaine Chapelle is proud to announce that starting with the 2023 vintage, all our bottles will be reusable.
We have chosen to collaborate with the “Revera” association to implement an efficient collection and reuse system.

HOW TU RETURN YOUR BOTTLES ?

To take part in this initiative, simply return your empty and rinsed bottles to one of the France Consigne collection points.
These points are typically located in local shops, grocery stores, or direct sales outlets.

THE IMPACT OF REUSE IN A FEW KEY FIGURES

Reusing glass bottles offers many environmental benefits :

• Waste reduction : On average, a person in France consumes nearly 28 kg of glass bottles per year. Thanks to the deposit-return system, a glass bottle can be reused for up to 20 years, thus avoiding the production of additional waste.

• Energy savings and lower CO₂ emissions : Reusing a glass bottle emits up to 80% less greenhouse gas than producing a single-use bottle.

• Water savings : Reuse saves 51% more water compared to recycling a bottle.

By partnering with Revera, we are contributing to these environmental goals while supporting a local circular economy.

WHY THIS CHOICE ?

Reusing glass bottles is an eco-friendly alternative to recycling, as it helps reduce the consumption of natural resources and the carbon footprint associated with the production of new bottles.
Moreover, this initiative is aligned with the targets set by the Egalim and Agec laws, which require a reuse rate of 5% for producers marketing over 10,000 units as of 2023, increasing to 10% by 2027.
